As above, I have an alarm I need fitting but can't find anywhere at all:confused:

Failing that, I will just get a new one with fitting at the same time, Can anyone advise ??

Cheers in advance, :thumb:

thanks guys, your making me blush.

iceman wont refit an alarm customeer supplied, its not cost effective, but i certainly will.

drop me a pm with all the info you can, car model, year and alarm.

only thing is i`m in bangor, but i treat each car like its my own ( and that doesnt mean i sit and fart and pick my nose in it.. LOL)

thanks

sadly thats a story we hear more and more in work.. the lack of people willing to fit clifford alarms.

most clifford dealers here now just fit them if they absolutely have to, and others have dropped the brand altogether.

Why is this Ollie, are clifford not recomended anymore?? I always thought clifford were the dogs bits??:wonder:

its a bit of a long story, basically Directed electronics who now own clifford amonst other brands made all their add ons universal, and other cost saving measures. Some dont agree but the general concensus with a lot of dealers is that clifford are no longer the brand they once were.

and after 17 years of being a clifford dealer, we stopped selling DEI products as the return rate was shocking. now people can claim its installer error, but then why do the same vehicles, fitted with other branded alarms not have the same faults, if installed by the same person.

dont get me wrong, i`m not saying they are god awful, i`ve a fairly high spec on in the integra with blkjax, a range of sensors and remote start, and its given its fair amount of problems over the past 4 years. and i know its fitted 110% and it has been a stonking alarm

There were other factors in the decision to stop selling the products such as warranty service etc.

people like SIM and audio advice still sell product, but overall everyone has noted an increase in other brand names being sold.

Personally i wont supply and fit a clifford no matter what the money being offered is... because i know, maybe 6 8 or 9 months down the line, it`ll come back and bite me in the ass.

I dont know if SIM do refits of systems, but i was going to say it could be worth ringing AA and SIM and getting a quote, and see what they`re advice would be

as said above, i`ll fit anything under the sun, but as explained in pm`s backa nd forth, i dont want o spend my day fitting something that when i power up turns out to have faults everywhere.
