Tommi was flying! first time out in the scoob and a good second!
probably first once citroen realise the error of there ways.
Loeb is excellent tarmac driver and his performance was outstanding! but Tommi was easing up a little after talk of the 2 minute penalty. i reckon tommi could of caught him if he was on maxium attack, he took 10 seconds out of Loeb o one stage.
some how i wonder what burnsie is thinking this evening??
good move or not? as petter kept passing him up and down the leader board. He He
in time he shuld get used to the peugeot, but like the team said they have no parts left as he changed his set up so many times.
hardly a match made in heaven methinks.
anyway im chuffed :) well do tommi and Petter! :D

Yeah, cracking result for Subaru - just a shame the penalty was not applied and Makinen enjoyed his 24th win. Can't really see how Citroen can argue their way out of this one - they either changed the tyres or didnt.

Solberg didnt crash for once, and got as many stage wins as Loeb, so pretty well done.

Is Burnsie regretting his move yet?

Hiya al!
it was for a serice penalty at the end of the day, it was supposed to be a re-fuelling stop only, but the barmits stuck a set of tyres on the citroen which was a no no! :)
anyway the scrutineers spotted it and then some of the teams protested. which is fair enough, so the citroen are going to appeal against the 2 minute penalty in the courts in paris, but they may withdraw it.
Loeb seems quite connfident but they broke the rules so thats that methinks. Tommi 1st :D:D

Yeah i know what you mean! Tommi looked well pi555ed as the penalty hadnt been enforced as yet. he could of been disquilified for it. i wonder if it had been anyone else wether they would of enforced it immediately?
anyway Tommi is looking good:) and petter looked so smooth and relaxed on those stages it was untrue!:D
well Sweden next, i reckon it will be between Tommi, marcus, Harri. :D

Excellent result for the 555 SWRT :)

Tommi proofs once again that heīs the best driver in the WRC.

But the Citroen "tire situation" should have been clarified before the start of the 3rd leg because this outcome means that the sportīs credibility is going to be criticized by a lot of people.

But still a excellent result for the chaps at 555 SWRT :):):):):):)

Last year it was illegal reconoitering (sp), this year an illegal tyre change. If Citroen can't stick to the rules, then I think they should get lost and leave rallying to the teams that don't have to cheat.

They claimed that they didn't gain an advantage by changing tyres - if that is the case, why change them then? And an innocent mistake made because they are new to the sport. Ballcocks - if they don't know the rules by now, then they really shouldn't still be racing.

And pulling together their "legal team" to fight for them - this smacks of more money than sense. Accept the ruling and get on with life. Hopefully common sense will prevail and the appeal will fail.

I think they know their appeal will fail, but put it in so that they could get all the media attention from 'winning' a french rally with a french car and driver.

Sorry I'm so late in responding Lee but you know how it is;)
Yeah what a result both for Tommi & Petter,Tommi's pace was absolutely awesome and it seems like him & Petter have really gelled as teammates especially in Testing...............This is gunna be a good year.:D:D

The Citreon farce did put a downer on it,not least for Tommi, stood at the Podium looking very pi55ed off on the 2nd peg:(:(:(
Unfortunately I feel that theres more to this "Error" than meets the eye, because it WAS'NT an innocent mistake,Citreon had earlier asked the stewards about changing tyres in "That" service and where told in no uncertain terms that it would be an infringement of the rules although they where unsure of the penalty:rolleyes::rolleyes:.
These alleged facts where given to me 3rd hand so think what you like, what it does prove is that it was done knowingly by Citreon and therefore in my eyes they had something to hide:confused:I don't wish to speculate and/or start rumours but a subject which came up in the conversation was "Active tyre pressure differential control" this was maybe started by the fact that the FIA inpounded both the tyres & the car after the event, which would be standard practise in an appeal case such as this so think what you will...........

The initial excuse Citreon gave was "So that the car would look pretty at the start the following morning":D:D:D:D:D:D:D................My reply would have been "It'll take more than rubber to make a Citreon look pretty m8" :D:D:D

Sorry Petter, only kidding! You were suberb in Monte, 5 stage wins is very impressive. You must have really pushed it on the last day, winning 3 out of the 4 stages.

Its only a shame my girlfriend thinks you're nice. Grrrrrrr. :-))
