I had it fitted yesterday at API. API left the wastegate flapper disconnected, until I get is mapped.

Even with the wastegate fully open, I'm convinced the turbo response is better than the VF35. On the old turbo, if I had my foot off the loud pedal and the boost gauge needle was showing vacum (right down the bottom on the gauge), it would always take a second or so to wake up and reach 0 on the gauge when I pressed the loud pedal again. With the new turbo, it happens a split second after touching the accelerator.

Where can I buy one of those clips that holds the actuator arm on to the wastegate flatter - an e-clip or circlip? The one of the turbo was misplaced during fitting.

As David says, try the one from the VF35, but if you need another, let me know, and I'll post one out.

David / Mark,

Kalvin from my Subaru dealer saw my post and offered to post one out from a TD0X turbo, so I'll see if that fits - should be here on Thursday.

David, thank you for turning around my car in a timely manor, sorting out the PCV valve on my catch can :thumb: and for keeping me supplied with tea all day. Your engineer did a tidy job and the engine looks cleaner than ever.

The Exedy clutch seems lighter than the OEM one, which was surprising.

Btw, I ordered a resonated section for the Hayward & Scott today. It's too loud as it is for day to day use - I'm sure the plod will have me on noise if I don't do something about it.

Cheers

Anders
