hi,
i am currently running 290BHP with 301ft/lbs torque on my 03 wrx. goes great but the handling is killing me. Been looking at other threads and posts and i am still unsure as to how to sort it.

I guess my question is this,

if i had say £500-£700 to spend would i spend it on coilovers or buy the white lines products, rear ARB, drop links ALK etc.

can you run these mods exclusively and see better handling or do they all just compliment each other?

would a happy medium be eg bilstein shocks eibach springs and rear ARB with ALK?

i have strut braces front and rear, so would an H brace also be an option?

please pardon my ignorance as this is my first scoob, only had it 3 months and already spent nearly 3k on it so dnt want to flush what little money i have left on useless mods.

all opinions and suggestions welcome:)

IMHO:

Fit 22 front/24 rear anti roll bars with solid drop links in the rear.(front also if your links are plastic)
Add anti lift kit to the front lower wishbones.
Add Eibach lower springs all round

Have the car properly aligned by one who knows what they are actually doing for a road car. If you are slightly unlucky you might need camber bolts in the rear and maybe the fronts, but these are cheap.

All these parts from Whiteline as they simply work.

Best get all the kit from the alignment company you use to get a nice cost package. Will take about 4 hours to do everythin tops.
I'm assuming the car is in good shape!

The car will be utterly transformed and still have great road qualities for comfort and safety.

Graham.

Sorry for the thread hi-jack, i`m in a similar situation, and I know 911 knows his stuff, only my 03 JDM STi has knackered rear shocks, I have a budget of just over £1K

I figured this would stretch to Tein Coilovers (super street? Basic?) and Whitline/Perin Links with a geom set up.

Could i come up with a better set up for the money? Bear in mind it will manly be road use and i have to get the rear shocks replaced.

I got lucky and sourced a pair of std rear shocks at a decent price.
With the Whiteline gear on I don't feel I need coil-overs for road use.

YET !

Maybe next year when the current mods take over !

P.S KYB adjustables are a good price, just add springs....
