Does anyone know if any of the Subaru Forrester springs will fit into an 06' Impreza hatch? i need to lift it and would rather do it with springs than making brackets etc to lift the struts.
Cheers

Cheers The rookie 28 January 2008, 09:03 Yes they will, (give about a 2" lift) however the Forester strut is longer and with the standard length Impreza strut you'll be very short of rebound travel, also some models have self levelling at the rear and the spring on its own is too soft and has to be matched to a self levelling strut, if your just changing the springs you need 04 on rears with the taper at the top. When you say 'hatch' I will assume you mean Wagon! - Not based in the US by any chance? Any Forester suspension complete (from 97MY) will fit, but I would suggest the later XT parts will be better - you may also get self levelling rear for free! Cheers The rookie 29 January 2008, 10:27 Yes, if as I assume you haven't an STi, the 05on STi has different hub carriers and you won't get anything from anything else to fit! Simon |
