New car due in March and i want to make sure i get off to the right start.

The car is pure white and i wondered what the general feeling is on products that are advertised to seal and protect the paint for years ?

Should i start with a product like this or should i go a different route ?

I enjoy keeping my motor A1 by the way so i am more than happy to wash, wax as often as needed. Also happy to spend a few quid on products that will give top class results.

What route should i go.

There are a couple of ways to go. Personally, i wouldnt touch one of these supaguard dimondbrite products. If you are prepared to re-apply the polish every few months or so, you can achieve a much better finish with something like zaino or polished bliss's choice jeffs.

For me, zaino is king. Get a few layers down of zfx charged z2-pro after prepping it with zaino AIO and it will look amazing on your white paint and will last ages. It gives it a kind of pearl effect. I always use this combo on either silver or white cars.

Its not cheap, but you use only a tiny amount, so a bottle will last you a very long time. You can get it at Pro-detailing.co.uk (http://www.pro-detailing.co.uk)

Ive used it on a couple of members cars on here (rob4620 and pete26) both white.

Thanks for that ;)

Just had a good look through the Zaino products and it looks like a good range of quality gear. The Jeffs range also looks good but does anyone have any other products that they swear by ?

Polished Bliss do you still rate the Jeffs range for white paintwork or is there anything else you supply that will give better protection and appearance.

I detail my car with a wooden brush that we keep in the garden, just dip it in a bucket filled with washing up liquid and apply to the paint = bobs your uncle!!

I'd give Polished Bliss a bell mate and get some advice off them, if you are looking to spend a bit of cash to stock up on a few products you may get a deal as well.

Jeffs Acrylic line is still my favourite set of products for white. They give a deep, wet glossy finish and very good durability, much in the same vein as Zaino products. Pick either and you will be very happy with the results, but in my view Jeffs edges ahead on value for money and ease of use. :thumb:

And who says I won't be selling Zaino too shortly? I pay handsomely for the privilage of advertising my products and services on here, and compared to many sellers I do actually use most of the products I sell in a professional capacity on a daily basis... so I know they work very well and I frequently prove this by posting our work and sharing our results. I've held my tongue lately with a number of people who seem to have an issue with our presence on a number of forums. I'll take this opportunity to remind those people that we pay a lot of money for the privilage of advertising, and do not freeload on forums we do not pay sponsorship too; unlike many of those people who are keen to take snipes at us.

Chill rich. Ive got nothing against you guys or the products you sell. I know if they werent any good, then you wouldnt sell them. I know your on many forums and pay for the right to be there, so its only right you benifit from it. No reason to have a go at me though. Ive never said a bad word about PB.

So why make comments like the above? Read it again... no need to say that unless you were having a snipe. My comment was factual; Jeffs is easier to work with than Zaino and cheaper, but I acknowledged that Zaino is also a great product.

I cant see how you thought it was a "snipe". Its a comment with a smiley face that was meant to get you to say "that too" and have a little chuckle. I even suggested jeffs as another choice at the start of this thread.

Fair do's. Reading the thread again I see that, and can also see I may have been overley harsh, so my apologies. We've been on the receiving end of rather a lot of digs and snipes lately, and also some copyright theft issues, so my patience and sense of humour is clearly waning. Sorry! :)

No worries. People always will say things that are not very nice or make comments about those that are doing well. Its just best to ignore it.

..probably a good idea not to let the supplying dealer valet it for you either before you pick it up.I threatened to blind anyone that went near my new car with a bucket and sponge:lol1:
