Playing around with a few 150w lamps - shot at ISO 1600 on the 1DmkIII and 16-35 lens.

1600 is fantasic on the MkIII isn't it - I covered a conference earlier in the week using 2000 ISO, would never have considered it before.
Nice pics, love the LEDS leading the eye up the frame, but, sorry, the microphone stand on his shoulder was the first thing I saw. If it wasn't for the fact it looks "connected' to the head and his arm, it wouldn't be so noticeable.

That's the first thing I saw as well but a quick edit with Photoshop would soon turn a very nice portrait into a really nice portrait :thumb:

Thanks for the ideas! I didn't want that ruddy mic stand there but the owner of the studio (who I'm helping do the website pics for) wanted one there to show it was a recording room :(
I'll fix that with PS though so thanks for the comments.
I was playing around with some borrowed Dedo lights ( - Dedo 3 head Production Gear kit (http://www.videogear.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=356) ) and now I know I have to buy some, just £1,200 + VAT!

Like the mixing desk didn't give the game away? :cuckoo:
