Lived in England until Jan 07 and 95% of owners waved. Over I would say the opposite is true and can't remember my last wave.

I find that a lot of new age drivers I see are middle aged men who by the loks of things have just bought it to make them feel young again!

I drive a Bugeye and live in Bangor and have given up waving at any Subaru in North Down. Used to wave, but too often got the 'Whats he waving at look!' from the other driver, newage, classic whatever. I now don't bother; feel that I'm only embarrassing myself. I travel about quite a bit and find it is a different story in other parts of the country. Perhaps it is, as some say, those drivers for whom the car is just their latest toy and could be any model, and maybe we have more owners in North Down like this.

Never mind waving, who has ever struck up a conversation with a stranger in a Subaru Rally Jacket? In North Down they would probably call the police and have you lifted.

OOOOOOPS, have been guilty of talking to complete strangers at petrol pumps just cos they drove scoobs too......most seem dead on and have a genuine interest, but a few have given me the " what a freak" look too.....normally end up trying to recommend this site to em as well, and I know a few have appeared online since bumping into me....have done the same in work too LOL
