View Full Version : Lets all laugh at Arsenal!
STi wanna Subaru 23 January 2008, 00:36 just finished watching the game. Great attacking display from Spurs. That's the last 3 times they've played they've been the better team. Ramos sets them out well to frustrate Arsenal and then counter them.
5-1 :lol1:
WR 1mposter 23 January 2008, 01:29 My mrs is well happi:rolleyes:
Bravo2zero_sps 23 January 2008, 09:18 What laugh that our youth team got beat by a full strength yids team? We had 3 first teamers out in a micky mouse cup. If that's something for Spurs to be massivley chuffed about then they really need to have better aspirations :lol1:
Dracoro 23 January 2008, 09:26 Yeah, cos Arsenal didn't *really* want to win it. Bet all their fans are glad they don't get a trip to a Wembley cup final in this mickey mouse cup
They got thrashed, pure and simple and now Spurs are in the final and Arsenal aren't!
No, I'm not a spurs fan (or an arsenal hater, went to highbury to see them last year too) but there are some stubborn deluded *fans* out there.
Reality 23 January 2008, 09:28 STI - NAF will be along to lock this thread shortly.
Yeah - that'll be right :D.
Well done Spurs - 9 years and one win - that's almost as good as Liverpool's record :D
Reality 23 January 2008, 09:29 Of course my last post might well be the one that get's this thread locked - or maybe even vaped :lol1:

Of course we wanted to win it - with our youth team! But they are not and wont be for a long time anywhere near capable of winning it and that's the whole point Wenger plays them, to get experience. The celebrations from a full strength Premiership team beating a bunch of kids in a 2nd rate cup are hilarious. They behaved like they'd won the Premiership :lol1:
michaelro 23 January 2008, 10:08 We had 3 first teamers out in a micky mouse cup.
Don't you just love the way the competition becomes a mickey mouse cup when you've been knocked out of it....
Bravo2zero_sps 23 January 2008, 10:09 Nope it's always been a micky mouse cup to Wenger which is why he has always used it to blood the youth players :thumb:

B2Z, Fact is though you got spanked by your biggest rivals. That's got to hurt. ;) 3 Years now and no trophy.

Why weren't they all playing last night then :wonder:

Youth team... come on that's just not the case. Majority of 2nd string players I'd accept but the team out last night will still have cost a pretty penny. As I say even with the full strength team Arsenal have been 2nd best the last 3 times they've played Spurs. Ramos has got Wengers number it seems to me.
Bravo2zero_sps 23 January 2008, 10:29 When (or should that be if) Spurs beat us in the Premiership/FA Cup then you can tell me I don't have any defence and I wont argue and it will hurt.
Yes of course last night's defeat was a sh!t result but as a fan it really means nothing to me that we got knocked out of that competition. Drawing with Birmingham hurt recently because it's the Premiership but losing to Spurs who fielded a full strength team against our youth team/2nd string set of players, what ever you want to call them, just doesn't compare or mean anything.
I am not defending those players, I think they are a bunch of trumped up little sh!ts who need knocking down a peg or two and hopfully last nights defeat will have done that to them. I can't stand arrogant youngsters who think they are 'it' when quite clearly they are not. Unfortunately Wenger seems to have a lot of them in his squad currently and Bendtner seems to be the worst out of all of them with his attitude. Here is a prime example:
Sky Sports | Football | Domestic Cups | Carling Cup | Adebayor 'butts teammate' (http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,13866_3072312,00.html)

They're not your youth team. That's just a way of belittling the result. Why have the 'big guns' on the bench then? He should have given them the night off. There were also players who haven't featured in that comp until now so Wenger wasn't sticking to his ethos of using his second string. Hleb started. Arguably your best player this season. Walcott is a 12mil man apparently, Gilberto has been a main stay of the team over recent years, Galas is club captain, Sagana is first choice right back, Bartander (sp?) has featured in most Prem games in some way.
Dracoro 23 January 2008, 11:13 So which are the 2nd/youth ones then? Looks like a fair few regular 1st team players there.
Fabianski
Sagna
Justin Hoyte
Gallas
Traore
Eduardo
Hleb
Denilson
Fabregas
Silva
Diaby
Walcott
Adebayor
Bendtner

Just like Arsenal did when they got a 2 all draw at home to the Champions
Bravo2zero_sps 23 January 2008, 11:21 Hleb needs games after lots of injuries/missed games. Walcott is not 1st team and wont be for some time. Gilberto is no longer 1st team and has been replaced by Flamini so has to play in these games otherwise he'll be off to Juventus. Gallas and Sagna had to play because our squad is so pathetically small that when we lose 2 key defenders to the ACON we struggle to put a defence together. Bendtner is not first team but the only classic forward/front man we have as all the others are strikers so Wenger has to use him when he needs a target man.
And yes I am belittling the result because it is a micky mouse cup and we didn't field a full strength team like Spurs did :lol1:

Arsenals only chance at a trophy this season though. They're not winning anything else ;)
4 years and counting :p

Surely they would have behaved like that whoever they beat, reaching a cup final (Even a Disney Sponsered one apparently...:p ) is a big deal for a club last in a final 6 years ago.
Several of that your team have played plenty of first team football this season and Spurs did not have a full strength team (Keeper, Left Back & CM).
Over the years we have generally been outplayed, but the last 3 games especially we have been the better side (even against a full strength Arsenal side ;) ) .
How about being gracious in defeat for once....
Bravo2zero_sps 23 January 2008, 11:53 How about being gracious in defeat for once....
To Spurs fans? Not bloody likely ;) If you want to talk about the Premiership games that's different and yes we were outplayed and it was a good result for us to get 2-2 but that's not what's being discussed here.
Like I say when I see Spurs beat us in the Premiership/FA Cup then I will take it seriously :p

Next season... :thumb:
Might not have meant a lot to the fans (:Whatever_ ) but obviously it meant enough to Bendtner and Adebayor as they could be in hot water :lol1:
