hi all
is this out yet it sounds great
it was in jap perf mag they said
the black box works by altering the esp or dsc via the cars ecu ,unlike tracktion control ,which is power related, dsc doesn`t compare driven and undriven wheel speeds it compares the direction that the car`s heading with the direction that the steering wheel is pointing in.
dsc factory setting is to underseer and all car`s understeer from the factory
given the choice what individual drivers want is significantly different from what the factory choosers
the black box gives control back to you the driver.
the dsc is good technoligy, dont get me wrong, it`s just no one has been able to tune it so far.
now we can tune it
the black box has two controls bias and degree of intervention.
you can adjust these settings with a twist of a dial, so if you want to drift sideways at 100mph on the track you can set it up to deliver this.
etc etc etc goes on sale early 08 for wrx and sti priced at around £500 and thats fitted
i want that one
what you guys think ?
anyone got this fitted
or anybody driven a scooby with this bit of kit on:notworthy

Interesting sounding bit of kit.
The dsc control must come from the ecu, so I can only assume this black box alters sensor signals in some way which tricks the ecu into making the dsc system react differently. Can't be that expensive to manufacture, so I am sure whiteline will make a lot of money from this one at £500 each.
Can't wait to drive a car with one of these installed, it's the only test that really counts.

if it can cancel out understeer that will make scoobys a different beast all together
