Okay, I have no idea what happened but the calibration was way way off.

Did it again and here are the results. It was an overcast day too, there was no sky or sun !

I have to say that compared with other colour images you have posted, on my laptop these seem to be seriously lacking richness, depth and width of colour (maybe not the correct terms to use).

The reds, greens and yellows have a greyness about them.

I'm trying to find something camparable that you've posted to match them against.

Mind you, my laptop's still never been calibrated, but I think you need to check these out on a couple of other machines to see whether they appear lack-lustre to you.

MissyC, I thought the images were post-processed to produced those kinds of colours. I quite like them assuming they've been done deliberately. Not sure I like the one of the boy but the other two candids of the family are fine and I hav e to admit I don't get the joke with the guy on the moped  but I do take my hat off to Chefdude for taking more photos in the last couple of weeks than I have in the last 9 months <hangs head in shame>

Ah, maybe I was missing the point!! It's been a long week, already.

And i have to agree, getting out there recently has been nigh on impossible :(

I have to admit I've been taken with the polarchrome film effect recently, but it doesn't always work lol

The guy on the moped would look quite at home zooming through london, but i just thought he looked a little out of place in a country lane. i guess I was trying to show him escaping as quick as possible from the frame.
