I have an MY99 with performance exhaust/filter, prodrive spoiler and wheels.
My insurance have just tried to get me to insure it as a prodrive converted car, even though its not.
Can they do that ?

Craig.

Nooooooooo dont do it! if you have an accident they can then say that its not and not pay you out images/smilies/mad.gif best thing to do is just list all the extra parts on your insurance and get them to sort it from there.

Sorted it out now cheers, Listed mods seperately.
The prodrive cars have loads more mods than mine anyway, so I dont know where Direct Line got the idea of insuring it as one !

Cheers

Its not sorted. They have now sent a revised schedule with modifications listed as Prodrive conversion !

And a letter saying that "it is a requirement of your cover that your car has an approved tracking device and that proof of installation is recieved and accepted by us. We havnt yet recieved this proof and i must remind you that you are not covered for theft or attempted theft until we do"

I took this policy out in February of last year and not once has a tracker been mentioned.
In fact one of my reasons for choosing the company was that they didnt require one.

I dont know what they are playing at and now im p15sed off.

Craig.
