I 'd like to know how you get on with the fitting. Cheers, Mick. rasper05 24 January 2008, 10:41 fitting is a quite hard, need to drill 8 new holes with no template.Take it to a body shop if not confident. wrxjay03 24 January 2008, 11:33 you dont have to use all of the 8 holes, i used the four original wrx holes, and drilled two in the middle. Scobman 24 January 2008, 21:00 I used all the holes for mine. I found the middle was a little bowed and by putting the middle bolts in it drew it down nicely and it sits perfectly now.:thumb: Made my own template measured about a dozen times but still the holes were very slightly off - it is quite difficult to get them all just right! Davethebutcher 24 January 2008, 21:22 A handy hint from a body shop...... Get a piece of masking tape and stick it to the bottom of your spoiler ( covering holes ) with enough length to overhang the sides, pierce tape where holes are, put in position , then tape the overhang to your boot, carefully lift off, mark out holes and drill. Hope thats understandable:wonder: HTA :thumb: wrxjay03 24 January 2008, 21:24 DRMotorsport provide markers to stick in the spoiler holes, take them out and you know where to drill in the bootlid. makes it much easier. postie90 29 January 2008, 17:32 how have you got on with fitting!!! i was going to get the carbon fibre one!! scooby-tc 29 January 2008, 17:41 I got the carbon fibre one from scoobyworld and they provide the special markers for drilling extra holes its a doddle to do and looks great postie90 29 January 2008, 19:46 scooby-tc i so what one of them spoilers i keep looking at yr pics i just need to find someone to fit it for me as im not confident to do it at all lol.... |
