Drove past Montys of Sheffield today and noticed the Subaru signs coming down and Suzuki waiting to go up. Spoke one of the staff there and he told me that they have given up the franchise.
mainly because there was a lack of interest on the new impreza. It seems to me that the dealers are having a hard time at the moment given past threads on this matter.

I doubt it was lack of interest on the new impreza, more likely the cost of servicing and fuel will be the biggest factors (and insurance).
Older cars wont use subaru dealerships because they can get the work done cheaper else where (not normally to a decent standard if its your back street garage, thats if they are serviced at all! ) but the new car will sell better than the older versions because its now focused at a wider variety of people.

Im not convinced it will really tony, theres definately better looking cars and ppl that are after that size car may aswell just go for a fwd hot hatch and have loads better economy/general running costs-i dont think theres that many ppl thinkin hmmm if only my hot hatch could launch better and be better in the twisties-may have been a different story if it were a better looking car but i cant see it selling well this yr to be honest.
