Seen this Lens secondhand and was wondering if you thought it any good?
For a Canon 300D?
Sigma 170-500mm f/5-6.3 DG APO Lens
Is there any issue with this Sigma Lens reference the ERROR99 message as other Sigma Lenses?

One review from a birder
Birdwatch - Sigma 170-500 mm f5-6.3 APO DG Telephoto Lens (http://www.birdwatch.co.uk/website/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=282&Itemid=30)
Guess it depends on the price

Price is £195 - maybe could knock it down to £180'ish?

I looked on E-Bay to see what these had been sold for, I never use E-Bay so may have got my info wrong - but, am I right in reading that these have been sold for £195 - up to £350 (for new)?
If I bought at £180, would it be a no brainer? In other words, if I didn't get on with it I could get my outlay back?

Looks that way :)
Being 2nd hand though I would want to make sure the lens is good and glass in mint condition too, dont want to buy a duff lens

worth a punt, but this lens will probably require good sunlight or tripod mounting or raised ISO
