More likely Rob is that Keegan was probably the closest to a decent manager Ashley could find who was daft enough to actually take the poisoned chalice :rolleyes:

You know you could be right. Hopefully this time keegan wont have to close the youth teams like he did last time to fund the first team. That set us back years.

I have had a tear of Joy tonight.Sad yes i know,but as a passionate supporter,i cant help feeling overjoyed aty King Kev's Third coming.

Watched him at the toon as a player,witnesses some great games at SJP with him as a manager.

Those days have never returned whilst he was away.The whole Toon is buzzing like me,and i bet it gives the players a lift tonight,as will KK when he is next at home in the changing rooms.

The last 11 years i have never been exited about an appointment of a manager even Sir Bobby,that feeling returned tonight.And i only hope my beloved NUFC can return to the glory days of the 90's.

Fair enough some might say"he never won owt"but he gave us and the country some really entertaining football,and we nearlly Won the EPL.Teams used to be scared of coming to the Fortress,and i want that to happen again,under King Kev.

He now has had time away from the great game,and hopefully he is more experienced and wiser than 11 yrs ago,and turns it round at SJP.

Kev Keegan is a GENUINE gentleman, played for Scunny before moving to the Toon. Used to give us tickets for away games to watch the mighty Iron.

I'd love to see him successful.
