Been on my ex husbands policy as named driver for a long time, (I am 37), driving impreza's for last 6 years.

Now we are divorced and I have my 55 plate WRX, cypriot import, but am struggling to insure it for a sensible price.

Obviously I haven't earned any no claims bonus as such as I wasn't the policy holder, but his insurer's issued me with a letter saying I have been claim free for 5 years.

Any ideas on companies that may help and give a quote.

Adrian Flux refused to quote as they do not recognise my ex insurers letter so in their eyes i have no no claims!:(

Privilege are the same!

Best quote so far is £685.

Any suggestions gratefully appreciated!:)

as above- gary etc.

I used to be with flux- had a very specialist/mod vehicle. been with them for yrs. they quoted me £1800/1900- and to be honest the girl said they weren't interedt in covering- too much hassle and risk. bit of a choker seeing as it used to be £240 with breakdown thrown in !!!!

gary quoted me £550- I'm 35 and have same car (well UK car- SL spec) as you so happy with that. although it did get slightly more expense to cover my occupation/use at work. but doubt you'll have that. if you can get 500/600 for a group 19 car be happy !!!! its ok people saying I got £300- but it might be on a car worth nothing, or TPFT etc.

I am bit fed up today with phoning round, and going through same info to get some ridiculous quote, so will give them a go tomor! ; )
