i have a titanium exhaust on my classic, but it has a few rubbing marks on the tail pipe , from where it has caught the bumper.

is it a polished or brushed finish?

I would try a heavy cut compound in an attempt to remove the defects, and the a fine finishing polish to restore the polished finish. Best bet would be to take the backbox off to work on it; machine polishing would also be the best way to go, as it will save a lot of effort. Blackfire's metal polishes are great, and offer varying levels of cut. No harm in trying what you have to hand first though; polished titanium is bloody hard, so little chance of stuffing anything up! :D
