Dear all

Just to advise that we will again be providing our service of sat-nav POI for the entire European season and potentially the long-haul events this year, although slightly refined from the final version that was launched at Wales Rally GB where we had to remove the start and finish points of the stages following a request from the organisers.

However, this is seemingly unique to Wales Rally GB, so the Monte Carlo versions, which are currently in production, will feature the start and finish of each leg, the car parks (where known), the service park and other key information from our rally guides.

Monte Carlo POI will be posted on our website, Subaru World Rally Team (http://www.swrt.com), in the early part of next week - the delay in this is because the route has changed quite a few times in the last month or so.

For anyone visiting Sweden, the aim will be to have this online following the Monte event.

Good luck for those travelling and feedback is always appreciated.

God forbid that any of the public should get to know where the stages start and finish, think of the consequences, I mean it could be awful, a handful of spectators might turn up and watch and everything

That's so typical of WRGB, other rallies on the calendar publish maps of all the stages so why can't WRGB? *Shakes head*

Anyway, we used your POIs for Wales and very useful they were too so thanks :thumb: We shall definitely be using them for more WRC events this year :)

Still very tempted to drive down on a whim at the weekend.

andy, any hospitality perks for travelling supporters? ;)

You know, had I been there I may have been able to, but this year, for the start of the season, we have made the focus very much on the development of the new car, and as such there will be no official hospitality in either Monte or Sweden, as we are using this hospitality truck to support the test team on the substantial amount of testing the new car is going through.

Later in the year we will have it back up and running, but as it stands, we're not looking at doing much in the first few rounds at all, simply because of re-focused priorities.

Few of us are travelling unless required - none of my team are there other than the PR bods, and again, it allows everyone to focus on WRC2008...
