According to reports on Sky sports new, big Al has said if he's approached for the job he'd take it

Do it give him the job, then he'll take you down, his ego wont keep you up, IMHO he would be incredibly stupid to take his "dream" job now, because it cold be over very quickly and end in tears and destroy his god like status on tyneside, he needs to get some real experience under his belt before taking on the poisoned chalice.

Looks like Harry is favourite

If Shearer takes the job he's stupider than I gave him credit for

Same goes for Harry to I reckon, he's put a good team together down in Pompey, He's got the backing of the chairman and money to spend, andthe fans love him because he went to Southampton, took them down, then came back

Why on earth would he give that up for the chance of 3 months work on Tyneside
