I was thinking of selling my scooby coz a few of my mates have got rwd cars and do drifting so i wanted a m3 evo but love the scoob to much to sell it i cant afford dccd so after readin a few posts on here i am in the middle of converting my center diff welding it up he he then when i get board of rwd i can just buy a replacement center diff and put it back to awd :thumb:

no you dont have to remove the box just take the plate of the back of the box then you can pull out the center diff if you really want to do this to yours let me know and ill email you full pics and instructions mine is all done now just need to get new clutch then it will be on the road in two weeks

I`m deff looking at this option. Want a top end car. Mine is a 2000 Wrx classic shape.

just use sti lsd diff and remove front drive shafts but leave in outer cv for wheel bearing then you have rear wheel drive and both rear wheels will spin instead of only one then back end will spin around

so will only one wheel spin doing it my way?

it will try to because its a slip diff. the outer wheel will speed up to try and get you going straight again.

thanks for the advise i have decided to buy a lsd rear diff to put on aswell now

ok so the scoob is all done now and back on the road converted to rwd you cant put any power down it just goes sideways fun at first but soon wears off when you find your self stuck up roundabouts or heading the wrong way so back to awd it is going good little project for a bit of fun :)
