Are closing 31 January 2008 - just had a letter confirming and reason is apparently due to financial climate in the motor trade.

Nothing to do with the way that customers were treated then............ :brickwall

Ohhhhhhhhh what a pity

Never touched them with a barge pole after the way they failed to sort my warranty issues out

Probably more to do with the freehold value of their site in Chelmsfords residential area. Any one want to start a sweepstake on how many "Executive" apartments will end up on that site?

What with Wilsons not selling Subarus any more, there's a distinct lack of dealers in the Essex area now? Fortunately there are specialists for servicing and spares.

no chance of new dealer unless they have money to throw away sales 23% down in 2007

I suppose It didn't help that my last Two services where done by Xtreme, but xtreme are closer to dipster towers in Braintree.

Bye bye Days

Wilsons aren't great

Harlow was only open for two week

So its off to Welshs or Haddocks which are miles away

Any thoughts on these two for the rest of my warrenty???

Depending on where you live - Welsh's are "proper" Subaru Dealers - the GM is the SIDC Cambridge RO so you shouldn't have a problem with them.

Haddocks- never used them myself, but many have and are happy with their service, so down to you!

Never had a Problem with Haddocks apart from services charges seemed to be quite high, and they ALWAYS said i needed new Pads whenever it went in for service.

Warranty wise they never let me down though.

If your out of warranty why not use Mocom or Extreme

Used Haddocks four times now, haven't let me down yet.

Why not use them IN warranty? They are both VAT registered and if they use genuine Subaru parts and procedures, your warranty is intact!

John you took the words right out of my mouth! I can assure you that you will get a much better service from either ourselves, or Xtreme, than you will at any dealer who is interested in nothing other than taking your money.

developers have been after the days site for years. i expect the closure is more to do with the redevelopment of the site than the economic climate when it comes to car sales, although obviously that isn't as bouyant as it used to be.

...similar situation to bolingbrokes really, although days' site is on the market, whereas the B&B site sale was agreed off market :Suspiciou
