My scoop on my 95 shakes like its gonna come off if i go to fast so I've just ripped all the insulation out to have a look and put the clip or whatever back on that must be missing and i'm a bit alarmed that the scoop is actually glued on. As are the two vents.

I have noticed on other peoples impreza's that the two vents are recessed slightly into the bonnet profile where as mine just sits on top, same goes for the scoop, it's just glued flush on the bonnet.

Are there different versions or has my cars bonnet been changed for a none turbo one with holes cut in?

 

Sounds likely, get a magnet and see if it sticks.. i think all turbo bonnets are Aluminium, or is that just the imports?

 

Not all bonnet are ally IMHO

This sounds a little odd, inot had expeience of the pre-facelift classics but
t the facelift 98/9-01 models the vents and scooop are bolted in, recesses for them in the bonnet.

Its an import 555 STI so should have an aluminium bonnet.

Your right the ****er is magnetic.

I thought i was supposed to have an ally boot and that piece of **** is magnetic aswell.

Nope, no ally boot lid, just the bonnet on some imports.
