Default Water spray on 02WRX

I understand that the STI/Spec C etc has a facility for an auto water spray, now is this controlled though the ECU?

If so is it poss for the WRX ECU to do this also if all other parts are sourced.

Cheers

Ask Zak Cookie he said he turned it off on his STi, not sure if it was done via the ECU though, if so i'm sure he'd be able to build it into a Map
