Don't get the paint too hot though or it will blister and use something soft and round to avoid getting any high spots in the bumper. Might take some time but you can get them as good as new paintshopgaz 01 January 2008, 17:24 Replied in general chap.... :Suspiciou marshall010 01 January 2008, 19:23 I kno its in general, im trying 2 sort it out asap so i posted in both hoping some kind scoobynet member would be able to help me out!which they have. Year? marshall010 01 January 2008, 22:31 ok sorry i should of thought to leave the car model ........its on 03 sti the big yim 03 January 2008, 01:04 how to remove 05 sti rear bumper - ScoobyMods (http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8391&highlight=bumper) Hope this helps. Think you will find they are mostly push in clips with bolts in the ends, but its been ages since I took one off. This isn't probably 100% accurate but, take out the rear lights, 10mm or 8mm nuts. remove all the clips you can see holding on the bumper (top edge, bottom edge, possibly corners) Undo bolts in the corners which bolt up to the rear wings (10mm?) Undo the bolts where the lights should be (10mm?) A job for two people, as the sound of a bumper hitting the floor is a sorry sound :) This may not be an exact guide but I hope it helps, if your near the midlands I could give you a hand?? sssssteeeee 02 February 2008, 14:28 one way of doing it , if its a plastic bumper would b to screw a screw into the very central point of the dent and pull it , then all u got is a tiny hole to deal with 3 mm or so depending on size of screw used.then rub hole flat with p800 then slap some filler in not bubble gum! flat the filler level and lightly touch up with correct spray leave it 2 weeks flat it with p1000 with some soap and warm water - t cut. jbs a good un! That is all dependant on how bad the dent is though. But well worth a try first. |
