View Full Version : Detailing Storage Bag
Tissy 30 December 2007, 03:16 Over on a well know detailing thread, they have recently run a Group Buy (which is now ended) on these from the US.

As i missed the boat on this GB, it got me wondering what is available in the UK and what other people use to store their detailing products using a similar bag.
53WRX 30 December 2007, 03:21 These are pretty good/similar, I have a heavy duty conventional toy/storage box for all my gear.

postie90 30 December 2007, 09:25 where was the top bag from anyone know!! anyone thinking of running another group buy on it?
phil 30 December 2007, 10:09 i'd be up for one
S600B_DC 30 December 2007, 10:55 Me, me , me
For the top bag :norty:
Tissy 30 December 2007, 13:25 I think they worked out at around £50 each. Apparently the supplier doesn't like selling abroad much because of all the taxes etc.
If we do run another GB, i notice there is at least 3 from ESC here who are interested, this is easy enough to cover as once delivered from the US there is no forward posting, just collection.
I will make an enquiry with the supplier and see where we go from there.
Tissy 30 December 2007, 13:35 Having said that, i need to visit B&Q and Halfords, because apparently they have similar bags, for a fraction of the cost.
Probably not as good as the above image, but its a storage bag at the end ofthe day, not a fashion accessory i guess.
This is the B&Q one fully loaded from someone who as already bought one.

You used your new toy yet Phil ?
BooSH 30 December 2007, 16:21 ust had a look on the B&Q website may be this (http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=9380705&fh_start_index=24&fh_sort_order=-1&fh_sort_by=_price_rrp_min&fh_location=%2f%2fcatalog01%2fen_GB&fh_search=bag&fh_eds=%c3%9f&fh_refview=search&ts=1199027904164&isSearch=true) although no picture, description sounds right though
Also found this (http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=9676966&fh_start_index=12&fh_sort_order=-1&fh_sort_by=_price_rrp_min&fh_location=%2f%2fcatalog01%2fen_GB&fh_search=bag&fh_eds=%c3%9f&fh_refview=search&ts=1199027989030&isSearch=true), looks equally as good.
Tissy 30 December 2007, 17:32 Yup, they're the ones i have seen and look OK. Will visit B&Q tomorrow for a closer inspection.
Its unfortunate that the US ones are only $35 (£17.50) its the postage and import taxes etc that make them so expensive :(
postie90 31 December 2007, 07:39 that blue one above looks just as gud!! might pop to b&q to have a look....
postie90 31 December 2007, 13:15 arhh local b&q not got one!!!!
BooSH 31 December 2007, 17:00 arhh local b&q not got one!!!!
God dammit nors mine :brickwall :brickwall :brickwall
SC008Y_MAD 31 December 2007, 17:34 I use one large box for the products and a smaller one for the MF cloths/mitts etc...
I just got them in an odd and ends shop where I used to live. I think they where about £8 and £6 respectively iirc.
Polished Bliss 10 January 2008, 17:49 Who is the US supplier? This is something I have been looking at for our store, and I dare say with our bulk buying power and trade freight rates we could end up offering them for a good price... :)
Tissy 12 January 2008, 16:51 Polished Bliss - Message left on answaphone :)
