I'm just due to get myself a hawk eye STI after nearly 8 years of company car driving.
I'm 28 driving since 17
Obviously no NCB for reason above
No accidents ... ever
3Points ....
I remember a while back companies would take ex CC drivers as NCB is this still the case???:wonder:
anyone been in a similar boat ??
Cheers

Me mate, had the same problem, company car's for 5 years and the private car's I did own were never kept longer than 6 months and the past year managed to obtain 1 years NCB but this didn't really help for quotes.
Best to call Keith Michaels or similar and explain your circumstances, I had a chat with Gary @K.M and explained my circumstances, he was very helpful and pulled out a good quote (£1100.00 fully comp) which was a damn sight cheaper than other places.
First year of insurance will be a bummer on finances but I know my insurance will drop below four figures once I get the first year out of the way (touch wood).
Might be worth calling up your previous/current company and asking for written confirmation you had a company car, some insurance companies take this into account and reduce your premium (had a similar thing done on my previous car through Norwich, got my company to send them a letter and they reduced my premium by a loads).
Good luck, (btw I am 31 so not sure if that made a difference).

Thanks fella Gary will be my first port of call and I'll go from there.
Company said they will pay insurance but if I tell them its £1500 they may tell me to bugger off !!!
