Yep, and / or feather the clutch lever when braking hard so the back wheel doesn't hop ...

or............ drop the clutch, let the back wheel lock up, leaving a big blackie down the road, and then back the bike into the corner............... no need to spend ona sklipper clutch, and added bonus of looking cool........... until you end up in the litter I guess,,, lol

view points from people that havent actually used them so far i see , so heres my 2 peneth .
yea i think if you do alot of tracktime they are well worth the wonga , my limited experiance of slipper clutches is only on a couple of 07 r6,s , but after a few laps of fast riding and getting used 2 them i could see the benefit .
pukka for rear wheel steering , and cutting down chatter through the rear after quick down changes ,etc etc etc . my verdict :thumb: .
wont help ya stunting much tho , but may help to change the topic of conversation in the pub when other bikers ask whos riding the cb 500 . :D .

I've got one on my GSX-R and yes, if I'm ragging it on the track I notice a difference. But I learned to ride (and race) when slipper clutches didn't exist, and to be honest unless you're right at the very peak of your game you are only adding something you can talk about - it's worth a few points in the pub but you're unlikely to actually benefit from it.

Spend the money making yourself a better/faster rider instead - a better and more versatile investment. Plus, of course, one that could save your life...

I've got one on my KTM 950SMR.
I bought the slipper clutch a few weeks ago but with one thing and another couldn't find time to fit it. So I took it to John Deacon Racing in Saltash and for the bargain sum of £40 notes they fitted it for me.
Now the mechanic there is an understated kind of fella, not prone to exaggeration, doesn't get excited about modifications he makes to bikes on a daily basis and is quite blase about it all. So when I went in this afternoon to pick it up and he came up to me eyes wide open and motor mouthed to me "****memate that is awesome!" and then waxed lyrical about the test drive he gave it and how he was going to tell every 950 owner who came in to buy one....I was quite pleased
Now I only had time for a quick hours test drive with it but so far this is how I found it.....
You approach a corner in 4th gear at high speed BwaaaaAAAAA!!!!! then, instead of braking you just slam in down a couple of gears and pretty much dump the clutch. There's a micro seconds worth of delay, revs go up a little but not much and you are on your merry way my son. Banging it into corners no braking, no overloading the front wheel, just smooth balanced progress. Even after an hour I was cornering quicker than ever before. Incase anyone is wondering, normal engine braking has not altered at all.
