If its a WR1 it will be ice blue colour (very light metallic blue). Also it should have WR1 logo's near the side repeaters, Also a adjustable diff (switch near the hand brake and adjustment near the gear stick.

WR1 was the top of the range in the UK 320BHP as std (I think)

I work in Buxton and have not seen a WR1 about but thats not to say its not one :lol1:

It should look like this

Adam will sort you the turbo, but wont mapp it, personally i would recomend Richard Bulmer at Tracktive Solutions. Alot of people have used Andy F on here with much success.

What do you want to achieve with the mods Mark?
Pub boasting rights? Better driveability? Better fuel consumption?
What sort of driving do you do/are you going to do?
Drag strip? b roads? a roads and motorway burnouts? :)
Really does depend a lot on what you want from the car how much it's going to cost. An 04 sti will be good for around 340bhp with a remap and some careful breathing mods. The brakes are good as they are with uprated pads and good discs. Handling mods will get the most out of your car more than any turbo will though. Consider upgrading the suspension in the long term, and short term you should look at anti-roll bars, front and rear, strut braces (engine and boot) anti-lift kit and maybe better springs. Your car may already have some or all of the above done. Well worth getting in touch with the previous owner on the v5 and asking what they'd had done. (if only to find out what car you actually own!)
