Anyone no of a cheap little car i could buy for a runabout? I won't to take my P1 off the road for a couple of months out of this crap weather and save some money :)

my old man got a "p" reg escort in red 1.3 encore, about 120k got a slight miss fire, but runs ok and starts first time, it had a new clutch at about 90k, new bottom arms last year for mot. he cant be bothered to look at the missfire so bought a new car. £350.00

I've got a Ford Escort Estate Turbo Diesel.. R reg 70k.. rust spots and mismatched white paintwork.. but it goes well, everything works except for the dashboard clock and the rear screen demist and does 400miles to a full tank.. taxed until end of Jan.. Mot end of Feb 08.. £300 ono..?
