when i tell people i drive a scoob they automatically think i have good well payed job, but in reality i dont. i can just afford to keep it on the road as a weekend car with the derv clio as a runabout, but seing you all on here can afford to use it, plus mod the balls outta them, what do you all do?

just being nosey.

start off im a wastewater process engineer. (and no i dont work with ****, i inspect manholes)

Apprentice (will be qualified June '08) Maintenance Technician - mechanical / electrical / process control / welding/fabrication / pneumatics - (food production factory). All good skills for DIY modding :)

So like where I work, they call you an "engineer" but don't give you engineers pay eh?


What would you consider to be "well payed" (Gross P/A)... as I suppose it's relative to what you earn? i.e someone on £14k gross thinks £25k gross is well payed, but someone on £25k gross thinks £35k is well payed... IYSWIM

Lorry driver on 20k pa. Made redundant from the Royal Irish so bought my scoob outright.

I am also a qualified driving instructor but I never bought the licence 2 teach so I cant charge 4 it.

Im a building services engineer working for a company called Taylorwoodrow construction.
I am responsible for looking after 4 health clubs La fitness ( cheap membership deals if your interested )

I am qualified in several fields

Electrical specialist

Air con specialist

Corgi registered gas installer

National swimming pool operators certificate

As well and minor qualifications portable appliance testing, unvented hot water systems, also capable of plumbing and all diy type activities.

Job is pretty cool a bit like being self employed I can go to work as and when I please and as long as the work is done the boss is happy so he stays in England

Only down side is all those semi clad sweaty women making themselves even more toned, tanned and sexy yeah I know it's a sh1t job but someone has to do it ;)

i fit car alarms, trackers, multimedia, ..... if it goes in a car and its electrical.. i`ll probably fit it.

i dont earn a lot, but the outside of hours work helps pay the mortgage...hence why i find it so hard to run the scoob

i work part time in tesco,
its not a bad wee job not the best paying by a mile or two :(

in january i ll hopefully be getting a placement as a manager which will be better for the money,:luxhello:

i know wot u mean about people thinking ur loaded when they know wot u drive,sadly not the case.

i also hate the fact people think ur "daddy" as bought u ur car,or pays ur insurance cause of ur age.... also sadly not the case

Can you tell me if you can fit an ipod connector to a standard ford focus 2004 stereo or do i need to use an itrip?

Hopefully those who know me know I´m one of the better ones, and those that dont know me will still take the time to find out who I am, my love of scoobs is second to no ones on here ........and I get dogs abuse from the guys in work for being a scoob owner and driver and for taking such an interest in the so called " boy racer" websites and for attending and organising events..... but hey who cares, I´m into my cars and couldnt give a damn what people think of my job, it pays the bills..

Gee, did that sound defensive without anyone even having a go at me ..........hmm LMAO

:wonder: warhouse operative/parttime, dariy farmer/lorry driver lol.. much the same as brocks my luv for the scoobs is second to none had the bug now for 4 years starting over seas my first purchase being a 2.5 twin turbo rs legacy.. i struggle the same as the next man running my current machine but am jst about breaking comfortable on expenses.. possibly if i gave up my 30 a day marlbourgh habit wud help alot olso lol!.. 1 more years payments left to go on the scoob this commencing jan way hay! who ever said farmers got paid lots of money? certainly not me lol..

Technicial Support Specialist (level 3) - a computer systems administrator / engineer. It's resonably "well" paid but not as much as my counterparts across the schucht, all of my money as spent on drink and prozzies and take aways so that is why I drive a 14 year old scooby. :lol:

me and my father are partners in a garage ! were lucky enuf 2 be busy al the time , tho with odd difference of opinion sum times ! but cars is my life . love them and rallying , i do a bit of rally prep and servicing , worked for DMG ,KG motorsport , the ill fated reids and mc keown motorsport mostly at group n and wrc cars !so im away alot of weekend over the year !

hahaha 23K before overtime for factory workers not bad, who works ot, not me, fook that, spend long enough in the place

quit smoking when I was 40 last year, bought my scooby for my midlife crisis, so the Mrs tells me. NOT,

As some know I am also do Rally Rescue, have done for about 10 years or more, do timekeeping also @ donegal rally, Thankfully not have had too many rally cars to cut up in anger, but yes 1 of them was a scooby, and because of that they put and extra bar in the roll cage and call it a jonny bar, prize for the person who can tell me which one :confused:

I work as a customer service engineer for BT mainly doing cabling jointing, although also repairing, installing and keeping phone lines working!!

I also work in the telephone exchanges and repair/provide broadband adsl lines....and have the fortune of having a company van for during the week (a ropey transit :norty: )and a 'runaround' for the weeknights so the scoob doesnt get overworked:lol1: :lol1:

moved here end of Jan 07 from England. Was a transport manager but grew to hate it. Moved her for a lifestyle change and now work for a cousin of the wife's doing window /door repairs - PVC & ALI stuff. Love it:thumb:

ok lads, i'm a nurse! psych nurse to be exact, currently taking a sabattical and looking at options (at least til jan, can't afford to be out of work any longer than that)
