The mysterious mr sheen and myself spend ALL last night working on my car.

We started at 9pm and didnt finish until 7am, to say we were tired was an understatement lol.
We when i say WE worked on the car he did the hard work i did the easy things like hand him spanners and paint and touch up bits that needed sorted out ;)

here are a few pics of the events from last nights madness

The whole night revolved around two main things. The IHI VF22 turbo and silicon intake

So off with then inlet manifold
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/j16jrf/stephen%20scoob/IMAGE_092Small.jpg
and while it was off we decided to give it a clean up and paint

While all this was happening i was wrapping the new HKS manifold ;)
from this

to this

And painted a few things to make the engine bay a bit tidier looking such as the old intercooler mount

The once the inlet manifold was painted the autobahn silicone intake was also fitted
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/j16jrf/stephen%20scoob/IMAGE_102Small.jpg

on the car the intake looks like this in the newly painted nice red inlet manifold

Also fitted a new forge dump valve
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/j16jrf/stephen%20scoob/IMAGE_095Small.jpg

So the engine bay has gone from this

with YUK rust alternator belt cover etc to this

quite the difference ;)

Thanks to the Mr Sheen gayest mechanic in the world ;)

Thanks
Jamie

Who did all the work gimp boy , 5 hrs labour and the rest in man love???:lol1:

Did you get reinforcement for inside the A88 inlet? Heard the might be prone to sucking themselves inside out if running big boost:wonder:, I have one fitted to mine but not runnin any mods.

150% cleaner no boubt too, looks well guys, top notch job as usual!!:thumb:

Wanna do mine next????

no dont think it will need reinforcement, its a lot stronger than the standard one and im not gonna put silly boost through it, just 1bar really.
and you want to have seen the state of the standard one lol it was SCREWED.

just need to get a few other bits and pieces put on now and thats pretty much the engine done.

My STI carbon strut brace arrived yesterday so get that on this weekend ;)
