has an RGB SCART cable, that supposedly fixes the green screen RGB
DVD playback issue.

Anyone know how it does it, and does it work? I emailed Madeira who
said it is RGB DVD but they don't know how it does it!

Would this be any better quality than my cheep n cheerful SVGA
cable ?

I've never had this problem.

But I have an s-video connector.

I believe that if you buy the oficial SOny r/c(I have) the updated DVD s/w that comes with it cures this anyway.

Is that not so?

 

I thought to get rid of the green screen on dvd playback through scart you had to have a hardware fix ie a chip.Not so sure that the above you mention will work???

Just on what Barry says - The S video leads WILL work ok with DVD playback ie No green screen but you won't get the full quality that you'd get with scart. (It's a composite signal if my memory serves me correctly!)
