Any thoughts on if it's possible to move between these two stages without too many problems. I'll be on an mtb which should make life easier.

Also, what's access like to Halfway from the North(i.e Crychan). All the car parks bring you in from the south(A40).

All, or any, advice greatly appreciated.

Andy

He is my plan, but it could go wrong.

Aim for Car Park I at Halfway mega early and head north up the stage towards the start, hopefully we can get across to Crychan.
Watch Crychan 1 and the top cars of Crychan 2, hike back for Halfway 2.

I don't know if you can definitely get between to 2 places, but we have good maps and we will see...

They said last year that they didnt want people moving between stages,

But we managed, all 3 stages on friday, 3 on saturday plus cardiff and 2 on sunday,

Intend on doing the same again this year :D

From the maps it looks pretty easy, but it really depends on how up tight the marshalls are about things.

I'll go armed with plenty of maps and hope for the best.

I'm hoping to park a few km from the stages, hack into the forest on FPs and/or bridleways, catch the top men on Crychan 2 and then head over to Halfway for the second run.

I have a WRC Pass that entitles me to see any stages I choose, that's what I shall say.

The contour lines on the map look a little steep though..

Hi Andy, My e-mail's down due to wife related muppetry.
I won't be able to join you on the bike this year because Mrs Macattac has to work, and I'm walking in with the children. Have a good rally mate, hope you don't get too much hassle trying to get around.
( I know you'll give as good as you get)

No worries Kev,

I'm planning on going in the same way as last year. Fingers crossed i can remember my way!

I'm not planning on an early start though, i'm hoping to make the second run through of both the stages.

Cheers,

Andy

I saw the scoob parked up, looks like you got there ok.
We walked back to the finish for the 2nd run, and ended up right next to the cars as they gave interviews to the press.:notworthy The kids felt like superstars, they've got some good stories to tell at school on Monday now.
A pretty good result.
The marshals were excellent everywhere we went this weekend, helpful and informative.
Top job guys.:thumb:

(restored my faith after last year's pig headed, confrontational approach by certain individuals)
