On the way to work tonight a got hit by a stone and now have a lovely chip in the middle of the windscreen about the size of a 5p :cry:

I have fully comp. protected no claims etc... what's the procedure for getting it sorted before the whole screen goes? Do I phone my Insurance company (Keith Michaels) or do I go straight to someone like Autoglass? Will it cost me anything?

i called the insurance first m8 just to confirm it, but it cost me £50.00 for a new screen for my bugeye.

RAC did mine and a very good job too.

Hi mate

Give us a call on 0208 6427868 so we can check which insurer you're with, but you'll probably just need to call 0800 6781010 (assuming you're with Highway) and give them your details. It is a £60 excess if the screen needs replacing
