(first post on here in ages - I'd forgotten about the WRGB forum!)

I'll be there with 5 mates, I'm in my 106 Rallye (no.plate NTV) and then there should be a fiesta, and a C4 Loeb with us as well, for the full 4 days,

think we're doing Shakedown, Start, Port Tablot 1, Rheola 2, Halfway 1, epynt 2, Trawscoed 1&2, brechfa 1&2 (not decided yet :D)

I hope you can, because I plan to. Hoping to fit in 3 stages. Probably crychan 1 + 2, plus halfway 2.

Hoping to get to halfway mega early and walk to crychan.

You can walk between them, but its a fair distance - probably 45mins walk at a guess (if you can avoid getting lost). The Halfway start is also the closest point to Crychan -it'll take longer if you want to walk to Dixies.

You have got no chance of making brechfa to trawscoed if you watch until the rally leader has passed which will be the 15th car that is allready 30 minutes gone.Even if you spectated at the first corner that is another couple of minutes gone. then you have to get back to your car and drive to trawscoed find somewhere to park then walk to the stage all in 12 minutes which is not possible.(unless you have a chopper):lol1:

Bear in mind that map doesn't really show contours, theres some big sodding hills between the two stages to navigate from what i've seen (although i've never walked it!) :lol1:

I'll keep an eye out for a Discovery barging its way to the front of all the car parks then :lol1: :thumb:

Steve

Steve,

There are no buses to the stages on Saturday, you will have to drive to them and park in the official car parks.

If you go to the official rally website:

Wales Rally GB : Home (http://www.walesrallygb.com)

and click on spectators, then online rally planner. All the car park details are there along with directions.

Have a good rally.

There is a Media car park that links both stages to make it possible we did it last year, we also do not use spectator car parks so no barging to the front of the queue;)

Hi Steve, the Media car park runs across the south of both stages on Sunday that's why the area is full of Police (Heddlu) on the road blocks to stop people getting in, it is not part of car park N. The best way to beat the road blocks is to find accomodation inside these areas you will then be sent a Residents pass for all 3 parts of the rally so you can get inn, only trouble is these get booked very quickly we have been staying in the same places for the last 5 years. You also need all the OS maps for the area as you do not want to be involved with the general spectator traffic as this will slow you down between stages, for us half the fun of the Rally is the navigation and off roading between the stages :D

Mate and I are staying in a Hymer travel home, with an interior loo and shower - lush :luxhello: , but will take us about 6 hours to get to Wales from where we are cos the max mph is about 55.

Doing Port Talbet 1 & 2, then Epynt 5 & 8, then service (hopefully), then home
