No mate it was pretty easy to apply and remove, I read the comprehensive instructions before use and was concerned about using it in cold conditions but followed the instructions and all is well, took a bit of effort to get the stuff off my hands afterwards though!!
Cheers

magicgreg 23 November 2007, 20:06 Alright Andy,
Good job there mate!
Did you find this stuff better than the Dodo Purple Haze?
Also what wax does everyone find best for summer and winter use?
Should the Dodo Lime Prime be used before each time a special wax is to be applied or just on occasion?

Cheers matey!!
I reackon its close between the finish on Purple Haze and the OE, havent had it outside to see the beading yet though.
Applying OE by hand in the hand
was different, after seeing the colour dodo dyed the pad I wouldnt want to apply purple by hand!!
I was using Collonite 845 before the Dodo and OE but that can be a pain to apply in the winter
I'm planning on using the Lime Prime every other waxing unless advised different, its so easy to use I suppose you could use it every time but that may be a waste of time and product.
Cheers

magicgreg 23 November 2007, 20:18 I used collonite before as well, just ran out so I'm looking for a decent new wax to use, there are a few options out at the moment but just want one that can easily be applied and removed by hand, if not I'll just use the PC to apply as per usual.
I was going to go with the Purple Haze but hearing that it sounds a tad difficult to apply/remove?

magicgreg 23 November 2007, 20:25 Looks promising although its not yet out.
I'm looking for something thats quite versitile and can be used in all conditions, easy to apply/remove?
Any suggestions or is Dodo Purple Haze the way forward?
G
53WRX 23 November 2007, 20:30 I much prefer the hard waxes and have the Banana Armour, Diamond White, Blue Velvet, Rubbish Boys Orignal, Swissvax Best of Show, Zymol Concours oh god I have too many !!!! Also have the purple but I would personally go for the Blue Velvet on your blue. Also its worth knowing there is a new Dodo coming out for DW members (initially) which is a high end dodo version Hard/soft wax combo:luxhello:

It will be very soon, a matter of days. :thumb:
Purple Haze is a breeze to apply and remove, and so are the hard waxes. What makes the soft waxes a little (an I mean a little) harder to apply is that you can easily cake them on. You really only need a waffer thin layer. If it cakes it takes a bit more effort to remove, but it still will come off without too much grief. The hard waxes take a litttle more effort to get the wax on your applicator, but becuase you are less likely to overload the applicator, you won't cake it on and you can get that desired nice thin, even layer.
Also with the soft ones if you fancy applying by hand, you can quite easily. They are soft enough to just scoop out, and melt in your hands.
magicgreg 24 November 2007, 16:47 Thanks for the replies!
Think I may sample the Blue Velvet then and then grab a tub of this new stuff when it arrives!
Already got myself some Lime Prime - did people find it best to just rub on then rub off straight away or leave it on for 5 mins or so before removing?
Cheers

You can do either with Lime Prime, my personal preference is to work it into the paint and then take it straight off. Just use a teeny, tiny amount though. A little blob on an applicator goes a long way.
