Default WRX 2.5l 56 Reg - what suspension kit?

I've got a standard WRX Subaru Impreza and just had sone 18 inch alloys fitted. I want the car lowering and want to buy some lowering springs, which sort would you recommend at a reasonable price? I have seen some which are called Pi (lower by 30mm) which are a good price , however, most people seem to recommend the Eibachs (these only lower by 20mm though apparently).

In my opinion, PI's i'd avoid, eibachs are good, prodrive are the best though, they are made by eibach and work really well with the standard dampers. However i'm running tein super streets now, they are superb and have completely transformed the car.

i had prodrive fitted to my 06 wagon and at it really transformed it without making it too hard and ruining the ride. Kept that warranty in place too!

I have heard that the OE dampers don't last that long after fitting Prodrive springs, has anyone experienced this?

Never heard that before. My rear struts were changed (i have an MY06) due to knocking and have Prodrive springs, but the struts had the 'normal' inverted strut stiction issue. Nothing to do with the springs as these fail in the same way with the standard springs.

Tony.
