Thanks steve for the nice comments. I try and clean/polish all the nooks and crannies that other folk seem to neglect.

My dads WRX does look a little sorry for its self in the cleaning part....its still got a majority of last years WRGB mud still in the arches :eek: He does not fancy jacking the car up and putting it on axel stands :rolleyes:

P.S. worth trying collinite 915 wax sometime on it if you havent already, trust me you`ll love it, though this aint a great pic(dont leave on long before ya buff off though-panel at a time max)

Darren - Out of interest what do you use to shift the dirt on the inside of your wheels. I have tried a couple of times on mine and it doesn't seem to want to shift. Also, what wheel sealant do you use ?

Cheers Dave. No I have not tried collinite 515 yet. going to try that Jeffs arcrylic stuff for the winter, then see how I get on with that ang go from there. What I want to enhance the flake in the DBM paint. Hence...

Better get polishing that bumper. Mine has a few stone chips and the bumper has faded as you can see from the new front splitter that SC painted.

How do I put this, I...no....The alloys where professionally refurbed soon after I got them and ever since then I clean them properly. After I got them refurbed (at Pristine Alloy Wheel refurbishers) I sealed them three times with Poorboys wheel sealant (pink stuff) each time I did it I left it on for longer. Then when it comes to my 'monthly wash and wax' I will clean them with Poorboys super slick and suds and megs mf wash mitt and also I use tooth brushes and megs detail brush thing. I also found a good careful blast with the karcher sames a lot of time:rolleyes: Then I dry and seal with the wheel sealant. job done.

If you have got stubbur brake dust, you might want to try somthing a little stronger. Its up to you wether you want to use an acidic type of cleaner (which I stay away from), maybe PB can offer some advice here?

But thats what I do and use.

If you've got a stubborn build up of baked on brake dust or tar spots, then chances are you're going to need to use an acidic based product to properly clean them. Poorboys Spray & Rinse or Meguiars Wheel Brightener are both very good at shifting sturborn brake dust, but should only be used when absolutely needed. With the wheels clean, regular sealing and washing with normal shampoo should be sufficient, as Darren has demonstrated. To get tar spots off the inner rims, you'll need a tar & glue remover like Autosmart's Tardis, as brake dust cleaners don't remove tar! :)

Just wanted to say a big thank you for the free bees and the other goods that I ordered which arrived this morning. Talk about fast service...I did not order it to be delivered by Concorde ;).

Products look great and the Blackfire long lasting tyre gel smells loverly. It smells like chocolate Tia Maria :)
