View Full Version : Does Michael at OMA use his phone?
markymark34 14 November 2007, 14:49 Anyone know a number or way of contacting michael at OMA?
Ive tried his phone 6 times now and left 2 messages but no reply. Doesnt fill me with confidence about taking my car to him if he cant return a phone call.

petedotuk 14 November 2007, 15:02 probably best 2 take a drive up, I have heard he is extremly busy l8tly.
OLLIeRB5 14 November 2007, 15:07 yeah mate, I tried ringing and ringing, in the end I gave up and went elsewhere as I didn't have time to run up

burt2000 14 November 2007, 17:23 yeah had been looking him myself the last 2 weeks, have left a few voicemails but no replyand kinda given up too, he must be mad busy???
RB5 Boyo 14 November 2007, 19:18 :lol1: Aw Michael is desperate hard to get a hold of, im currently awaiting him to ring me to get my car up to get my fmic and ecu and all fitted and i know for a fact he is flat out all the time, sometimes working to 12 or 1am if need be cuz his workload just gets bigger and bigger by the week.
Iv been waiting since september to even get a date to get the car up and he tells me i am nearly ready to go now, hopefully before the end of november as im hoping to get the work done to the car and then SORN it off the road until after christmas and the bad roads, salt etc.
Leave him a message on the mobile number or send him a text explaining what you are looking done and he should get back to you, he always returns my calls at some stage!!:thumb:
ustolemyname??stevieturbo 14 November 2007, 19:31 He is always very busy, and often has to switch his phone off just to get some work done....although often it rings out, because he is already on the phone !!!
Its impossible to get any work done with a phone stuck to his ear all day
So its a juggling act, trying to get a bit of both done, so sometimes, he simply has to turn it off.
And as RB5 says, he is often working well into the night. Although that doesnt mean its fair to be ringing at that sort of time, and expecting the phone to be switched on.
How many other people work 12+ hours a day, most days ?
If you get the answerphone, leave a message, and he will try to get back to you.
If you just ring and dont leave any message.....its highly unlikely he will get back to you.
geoffo 14 November 2007, 22:31 personally im often doin 12 to 17.5hrs steviewapwap but dats coz im poor and need da money maw ha ha ha!
lol!
markymark34 14 November 2007, 23:30 Ive left 2 messages no reply. Guess its time to go elsewhere.
neil.p1 15 November 2007, 00:02 ai autosport
neil.p1 15 November 2007, 00:03 AI Autosport : Welcome (http://www.aiautosport.co.uk/)
ustolemyname??stevieturbo 15 November 2007, 01:52 All I can say, is keep trying....
Although its good to be busy, of course some customers will get left out, which may not always be good.
But if a garage could take a car straight away because they have little or no work on.....on the other hand, that too can speak volumes.
geoffo 15 November 2007, 09:08 AI = exactley!
working at them aint a black art, im far from a mechanic and have done everything myself (well with the help of scott from ds autos lol!)
c0lin 15 November 2007, 11:44 yeah mate, I tried ringing and ringing, in the end I gave up and went elsewhere as I didn't have time to run up
likewise
burt2000 15 November 2007, 11:53 id he would need to expand and get a 3rd mechanic on board if he can
theres alot of demaind for his service, just shows how good his rep is though.
neil.p1 15 November 2007, 12:40 trust me there is no better people than jonny and phill at ai autosport. there new premises at craigsrown is nearly finished and going till be top of the range they have at least 15 20 cars there at any one time nor like there not busy just like till help ya
markymark34 15 November 2007, 13:19 my main reason for wanting OMA is location im based in Dundoanld. Ill leave a third message if no response ill go with AI.
moffett 15 November 2007, 15:11 I use ai myself, i tried Oma so many times and got nowhere. If he is so busy then he should have a secratary or another mechanic and some sort of dairy system.
I have heard great things about Oma but it just got frustrating in the end trying to get speaking to him.

Well i live nearly 60miles from OMA and i still favour going to him!!:smug:
He would be very fussy about who he would let work on the cars that comes in and thats why he doesnt employ a fleet of mechanics....he wants to keep the good reputation!!:thumb:
scubbay 15 November 2007, 20:14 If he is so busy then he should have a secratary or another mechanic and some sort of dairy system.
:lol1: I cant see how a milking parlour would help things :lol1:

I'll maybe get him to organise an Indian call centre to take the calls for everyone :lol1:
As for employing another mechanic.....he has one, but in order to maintain level of workmanship....thats the way it will stay.
Its hard to find competent trustworthy people out there. It would be foolish to expand and employ clowns just for the sake having more staff..
If ya want clowns to work at the cars....there are plenty of other places around.
geoffo 16 November 2007, 09:01 who are the clowns stevie-nitrous you are talking about?
it aint like anyone on here would go see that one at macdonalds... la la la la la - my scoobies quick!
ustolemyname??stevieturbo 16 November 2007, 15:22 There are clowns all over the country trying to work at cars. In fact, all over the world.
Some of the most expensive work at main dealers.
