Nice one Mike.

I've just had a go on cs_Militia2k and it's quite good. Might be worth a try on your server? Most people (except King Ping) like Assault2k and this is a advancement on the original too.

I got mine from Jolt. It's lists 2 but only one of them worked for me and that was cs_militia2k1

poxy custumn maps - i have dowloded 27meg of them!! and played about 3 of them!!!!

remove all custum maps and play as CS was intended !!!!

 

Assault2k is fine with me.

What I found *****ing pointless last night was that a map was introduced ON A LOCKED CLAN server that most of the players had never seen before and no attempt was made to learn the map! I jumped in I think 4 vehicles and was promptly shot. Hoorah.

By all means play custom maps but we need a fifteen minute warm up or something followed by a good hours worth.

Chopping and changing maps, especially new ones is just ***ing pointless.

Here endeth the lesson.

Don't get me wrong MIkee I applaud your efforts and in no way wish to bad mouth you or Rogue (indeed I wish I was as good!), but come on guys, some team we are.

Looking forward to team night tomorrow. Shake a leg all.

 

Is the rogue custom map server still up ? was port 27045 I think. Maybe we could some of the more obscure on there along with map voting.

I enjoy the fun ones at the end of an evening (Jeepathon,airninja,rats etc.) Would like to give predator, arabstreets etc more time as they are good quality maps. Would like to see thunder back on locked. Never could see why it was dropped from 1.3

Any chance we could have thunder on the STi locked server ?

 

I was running through the remaining maps yesterday, along with Orbv who turned up. The ones that are left on the server are okay to superb. For example, high_society, haste and delta_assault are all very good, high_society being superb. Removed the others due to too much grief when they are played.

Anyway.... doubt I'll be on tonight, as I've just got up. Went out last night and had rather a lot to drink. Got in during the early hours. Woke up around 7-8 and just had a bit of a headache. Downed a few tablets and went back to bed. Woke up around 11 and felt crap. Headache was 10x worse and stomach was keen for me to drive the porcelein(sp?) bus. Manged to hold off.

Just had my first cup of coffee (with two sugars to stop the dizzy spell) and ate some cake and shortbread.

Will need an early night, so have fun, unless I feel a lot better later on.


BTW: Did somebody say something about Team Fortress (hint)

good on you for doing more work on maps for us.

yes i mentioned TFC as a m8 is in a clan for both TFC and CS and has always said i should play TFC as its much more team orientated than CS - that u must play well as a team combining the diff player types to actually win.

i played 2 times this last week and really enjoyed it !
