the rear shocks on my04 sti are making weird noises so im going to do the lot and replace them all with some coilovers but with so many different sorts around now i want some ideas or storys of others that have fitted after market ones. i dont really want to have to spend out a 4 figure sum though, any input would be great ta...

AST or KW are the only two I would consider Tein, Cusco etc are way to hard for UK roads.

I have lots of experience with AVO (no!) and AST's and their supplier, Powerstation, and that would be my suggestion. Call them (above banner) and get to talk to Curtis.
Tell him '911' sent you.

I have Tein Super Street and I´m very happy with it performance and they´re not very hard, but to and STI is better Tein Flex.

P.D.- Spanish roads are awful

Have just fitted as set of KW Varient3 to the Wagon, so far im very impressed. Slightly bumpy on Northamptons finest roads !! and the ride height has dropped nicely (although I have the ability to drop/raise further and change damp/rebound)

Only downside noticed so far is when the missus borrows the car, apparently it is too firm and hurts her lady bumps.
