Hi All,

Whats the best way to clean gold alloys, the whole alloy I mean.

I want to be able to see the whole alloy clean not just the outside if you know what I mean!!:norty:

Personally, I...

Whip the wheel off, rinse, wash (using a microfiber mitt and Poorboys super slick & suds), rinse, dry, Poorboy's Wheel Sealant on, buff off, stick the wheel back on, job's a good'un:thumb:

Rest it on something that keeps it off the ground though so you don't damage it (I use 2 planks of wood to keep it elevated off the tarmac myself).

I use autosmart "smart wheels" spray onto the wheel then use an EZ Detail brush (do an internet search) and small brush to clean the outside. The EZ detail brush does the inside.
Once rinsed and dried I add a coat of Collinite wax to keep em looking nice, and easy to clean next time;)

Best I buy an EZ brush then, just had all 4 wheels off to clean and use the Poorboys sealant on, dont mind taking them off once or twice a year to clean so if the brush brings them up clean on the inside with them still on happy days!!

I use a megs lambswool wash mitt and PB supler slick and suds plus a megs detail brush or an old toothbrush works fine. then I dry with a megs water magnet, then apply PB wheel sealant with a MF cloth and then buff of with a clean MF cloth about 1hour later.

for me i try keep it simple, but effective.

spray the wheels down with the hose, thorough spray with autoglym wheel cleaner. leave for 1 min to soak, then scrub with a nice clean sponge thats only for wheel use. do this induvidually, rinsing the wheel afterwards for all 4 wheels. then dry with a clean cotton cloth. then a spray with autoglym alloy wheel seal, careful to miss the brakes:nono: and buffed off with another clean cotton cloth.

every so often, il have the wheels off, place on a small towel and clean the inside same as above, and seal same as above too.

like i said i try keep it simple, and find a soft sponge for the wheels i have is best.
