This was done over two weeks ago, but as usual, things have been too busy in the meantime to get the write up done! More write up's to some soon too, including one on 33 hrs of show preparation on an Evo VI. Anyway, I digress, back to the Corvette...

The story for this one: the owner and her husband have just moved over from the US, and the car was shipped over on a roll on roll off boat. Some damage occurred en route, including a cracked windscreen and a graze to the tip of the front bumper. Furthermore, salt spray has severely etched most of the bodywork. However, with winter fast approaching, correction isn't necessarily needed until next spring, so the owner settled on a Zymöl winter preparation detail...

Process

Foamed with Meguiars Safe Degreaser and rinsed
Washed with Meguiars Shampoo Plus and rinsed again
Detarred with Autosmart Tardis and rinsed again
Clayed with Meguiars Detailing Clay Mild and rinsed again
Wheels cleaned with Menzerna Gel 7.5 and rinsed
Dried with 1600W Black & Decker leaf blower

Paint and glass cleansed/glazed with Zymöl HD-Cleanse
Paint and glass (exc. windscreen) protected with Zymöl Vintage
Alloys protected with Poorboy's Wheel Sealant
Tyres dressed with Blackfire Long Lasting Tyre Gel
Arch liners and trims dressed with Meguiars All Season Dressing
Exhaust tips polished with Meguiars NXT All Metal Polysh

Interior vaccumed and dressed with Zymöl Vinyl
Interior glass cleansed/glazed with Zymöl HD-Cleanse
Leather warmed and fed with Zymöl Treat

Time taken: 8 hours (it's a big car!)
