We've just built a new fence (featheredge) and got some Ronseal Fencelife OneCoat - Medium Oak. We put the first coat on yesterday and it looked very light brown so thought may have to leave it to dry properly. Just had a look this morning and the fence looks orangey brown

Its supposed to look like this: Ronseal - Product Details - One Coat Fencelife (http://www.ronseal.co.uk/products/product.jsp?id=58)

Anybody experienced this before? Do I have a bad batch of paint? Any thoughts?

You did stir it fully before hand didn't you?

I find it tends to settle to the bottom of the tin and takes some serious stirring to mix it all together!

Also you may need 2 coats to get the required colour finish, and it depends on the timber you are using it on as to how the end result looks.

Cheers Bob. Yep we did stir it. Even doing a test patch with second coat looks nowhere near what it should. I think we'll be switching brands.
