Just bought one today on a T plate, really good condition etc.
Not being delivered for two weeks though :(
I haven't had a bike for several years so will be taking things really steady.
Any advice for a 'born again biker'

Hi Nik,

Only advise I can give, would be to take it easy mate.

The roads are just getting to that "slippery" season, and its pretty slidy out there. My ZXR is tucked away now, will only come out on dry days during the winter.

Also, not sure how long ago you last rode, so obviosuly take it easy.

Perosnally, I would make sure I had a few hours spare, take it out without having to "be anywhere".

Take it on some nice simple roads, to start, until you find your feet,

sure youll be having fun, nothing compares to the bike,,,,,,,,

Thanks for the response Darren.

When i had my last bike i didn't have a car but now i do so the bike will only be for runs out where weather permits.
It's been so long i need to practice everthing!
I live on the edge of a village so there's plenty of quiet roads to get back into the groove :)
Just can't wait for the freedom of bike riding, shame some of the family are negative about bikes..........can't be that bad, can it?
I'm 37 years old so i'm past the Rossi wanabe stage ;)

hi there glad of your choice of bike to get back into it ,
cbr 600 got to be one of the easiest bikes to ride ever.#

as for tips on getting back into it you could go along and do a few hours at your local training centre it dont cost a lot and most of the instructors are realy good

one thing not to do is get on the bike and be scared ie its winter its slippy oow its dark SO FERKIN WHAT !

All you have to do is get yourself on the bike build your confidence and hey presto your loving it again , if you have any concerns there is a lot of wise people on this section of scooby net good luck .:luxhello:

dont forget to ask its free .:thumb:
