bren@apex 12 October 2007, 18:39 We still have some of the group buy Autobahn88 intercooler kits left at the group buy price of £189. Grab one whilst you can, Autobahn have released a new kit for the Scoobys and theyre exactly double the price of these ones!
Theyre in stock and ready to go, we have surpassed the required numbers so theres no waiting, we will sned out immediately.
Give us a ring on 01274 683633 if you want one :)
bren@apex 12 October 2007, 19:10 You might be interested to know that Greddy use the exact same core in their M-Spec kits ;) The end tanks are slightly different and they have car specific mounting tabs rather than brackets as with the Autobahn but the core itself is identical :)
weakboy2 13 October 2007, 11:29 whats the difference with the new kit?
exvaux 13 October 2007, 13:05 do they contain all pipework and will i need tolose the airbox to fit it?
H4RDY-P1 13 October 2007, 13:30 Bren can you do the mikalor clamp upgrades for these kits?
bren@apex 14 October 2007, 14:42 They come with everything you need to fit.
Ill check on the air box.
We dont deal with Mikalor anymore, we had serious problems with UK supply so dont get involved now Im afraid
rooferman 14 October 2007, 19:10 You will need a reducer for the dumpvalve take-off and the airbox will have to go.
bren@apex 15 October 2007, 13:43 What size reducer? Ill get some to add to the kits :)
rooferman 15 October 2007, 19:33 What size reducer? Ill get some to add to the kits :)
Would be better for the individual to source the reducer as the recirc/dumpvalve diameters vary from model to model....plus most people tend to run vent to atmosphere valves which could vary in size...
I have one of these cooler kits from the original groupbuy that bren setup....
Fitted really well,and at a bargain price.....:notworthy

I did have the pipework powdercoated but this still only added £40 to the cost...
340BHP-WRX 15 October 2007, 22:31 Can you supply these kits with powder coated pipes ? If so,how much and how long would I have to wait for it ?
bren@apex 16 October 2007, 08:48 We dont do coloured pipes Im afraid.
g7prs 16 October 2007, 13:16 How much modification is needed to the pipe work to get it to fit a 95 sti?
340BHP-WRX 16 October 2007, 17:20 We dont do coloured pipes Im afraid.
That's a shame ! Are these Bar and Plate or Tube and Fine 'coolers ?
bren@apex 16 October 2007, 17:42 whats the difference with the new kit?
Theyre completely different.
That's a shame ! Are these Bar and Plate or Tube and Fine 'coolers ?
Theyre bar and plate. Weve been running similar cores with various cars upto and exceeding 500bhp with no problems.
stuart148 16 October 2007, 19:34 i can get the pipe work powder coated for you
£50 per set,,i can pick up from apex and take back before they post out (if thats ok with bren ??)
stu
bren@apex 16 October 2007, 21:35 Cant see any probs with that :) We are down to the last couple now, sold another 2 today.
g7prs 16 October 2007, 21:46 Bren do you know what mods are needed to get this to fit a 95 sti?
bren@apex 17 October 2007, 10:04 I believe you need to cut one pipe so you can change the orientation slightly. Youll need a silicon connector and two clamps to put it back together, I should have them in stock so will chuck them in.
Ill get some pics of the mod tommorrow if you like?
g7prs 17 October 2007, 12:38 Bren that would be great if you could let me see whats involved.:thumb:
bren@apex 18 October 2007, 15:49 I meant to get pics today but the car I had in mind isnt available today. Ill be able to get access to it on saturday, I hope thats ok :)
g7prs 18 October 2007, 17:53 Ok bren thats fine. Cheers for the help.

AsianGunner 18 October 2007, 20:40 are these kits for classic only or newage too?
bren@apex 18 October 2007, 20:41 Theyre for classic only Im afraid.
AsianGunner 18 October 2007, 20:43 whoops ignore that, i just saw he title says GC8......doh
why is it you always ask a question on here and 2 seconds later yu figure out and answer anyway! lol
scouse2 19 October 2007, 14:36 Youll need a silicon connector and two clamps to put it back together.
hi bren i got a front mount of your group buy done by kips
my car is a 92 so would also need this silicone connector(4"x62mm int dia)

if so how much will it be
thanks in advance danny:thumb:
bren@apex 19 October 2007, 16:24 Just a straight connector 4" long, 62mm internal diameter?
scouse2 19 October 2007, 17:44 did mean the connector what your on about, just need a price for it
thanks danny
bren@apex 22 October 2007, 14:55 Ok bren thats fine. Cheers for the help.
I went to get some pics btu theyre not really relevent as Andys done an intake mod so his throttle bodies in a different place to normal. All you need to do is cut one pipe down and rejoin with a silicon hose. I can chuck the hose and clamps in witht he kit free of charge if you ask for them :)
scouse2,
I dont know what connectors needed. This is why we have just bought an Impreza, I dont like selling goods and not knowing them inside out.
g7prs 22 October 2007, 15:33 Order placed.:thumb:
