Well, after the spygate sarga, everyone agreed that it had damaged the sport and everyone needed to move on.

Enter Sir Jackie Stewert.
Apparently, Mr Mosley gave a few comments regarding the scots fantastic dress sense and now Stewert it going to sue.

itv.com/f1 - Stewart mulls legal action against Mosley (http://www.itv-f1.com/News_Article.aspx?PO_ID=41019)

To be fair and I am no fan of Jackie Stewart he has a point. Mosley described him as afigure on fun and a certified halfwit which given that Stewart suffers from dyslexia is a bit cruel to say the least.

Mosley has no business saying things like that about a man who not only won the WC 3 times but is in no small way responsible for the sport being much safer these days due to his campaign in the 70s to make motor racing more safety conscious.

Where does it stop though? Jackie could have simply asked for an apology.
Jackie has openly said that he doesn't agree with the spygate punishment and court proceedings...... now he's doing the same thing!
Sir Jackie, grow up, get off your high horse and do what you have been threatening to do for the last 10 years, teach new F1 driver's how to survive in F1.

Rant over! :D

Jackie Stewart gets my full support, he is and and all ways will be the gentleman of F1 and if anyone is a cetified halfwit then in my eyes Mosley fits that a treat because I feel the guy is so out of touch, he needs to listen to people like Sir Jackie Stewart because the guy knows more about motorsport than Mosley could ever dream about it's about time he was knocked of that perch and someone with commen sense put in his place.
Cheers
Colin

It's ridiculous, just put the handbags away and grow up.

But it is not what F1 needs right now.
I think the FIA made a cock up with the punishment for not kicking the driver's out of the championship.....and i'm a hamilton supporter!
You either keep both the drivers and team in the championship, or you kick them out, simple really. The only reason that they didn't, was to achieve a title race to the end of the championship.

If hamilton wins the championship, it will be in an 'illegal' car, fact.

Despite the fact that McLaren can prove that there are no Ferrari bits on the car, (the legality of the car was never questioned in the inquest, just the fact that they had illegal information)?

F1 is in it's current parlous state because of Max Mosley:mad:

If he'd said about me what he'd said about Jackie Stewart I would have landed one right in his smug inane face:mad:

I hope Sir Jackie wins and takes the arrogant clueless cnut to the cleaners:thumb:

That is completely wrong.
It was because Mclaren 'couldn't' prove that the Ferrari data 'wasn't' implemented in their car, that they were punished.
It IS against the sporting code to use anothers competitors chassis design (at present). Having a sneak peak at a competitors wing arrangment on the grid is a little different to having the entire playbook.

So, if Hamilton wins, it will be in an 'illegal' car. But that doesn't matter because it was a good championship.

Completely incorrect. Have you read the FIA transcripts and subsequent ruling? They did not once look at any technical data from the car. The whole case revolved around McLaren being in posession of confidential Ferrari information. Nothing to do with the car itself.

In fact McLaren repeatedly offered the FIA the full design specifications of the current car etc, and asked them to find anything Ferrari related. The FIA declined to accept the offer.

In law, you cannot convict somebody (being it an individual or a corporation), simply because they cannot prove that they are innocent. I can't prove that I didn't sneak into the Ferrari office, nick some documents, and gave them to McLaren, but that doesn't mean I'm going to get convicted because of it.

But as said earlier in this thread, never let the fact get in the way of a good bit of scoobynet ranting :D

Having a sneak peak at a competitors wing arrangment on the grid is a little different to having the entire playbook.

Having the playbook and actually using it are two different things.

So, if Hamilton wins, it will be in an 'illegal' car.

No it won't because the car itself has never been declared illegal.

it's playground rules with stuff like this, yes Molsey 'should' know better in the position he is in :nono: , but i can also understand where Jackie is coming from as it's his name and rep that Molsey it making dirty by making such stupid comments.

All in all though all this stuff and made people notice F1 this season and with the help of the new rookie Lewis things have been shaken up on the track and made it that little bit more interesting again. :luxhello: :luxhello:

I think Mosley is as big a prat as his father was.

Jackie Stewart is indeed a gentleman as I know from personal experience as well a truly outstanding F1 driver. He is also a very sensible and knowledgeable man and I agree with what he says in all respects.

IMHO it was a ridiculous, and unnecessary outburst.

Whilst his trousers may be rather funny, he is a character- and one that deserves respect- rather than ridicule as he's said somethinf that MM doesn't like...
