Is there anything to remove scratches from glass as I have loads on side windows?

Yep, you need a polish capable of cutting glass, and a rotary drill. This site sells decent kits to get you started, but be warned, polishing glass is harder to get right than paint, as distortion can occur, and you have to watch the heat build up...
