I happened to be one of the first on the scene yesterday to a nasty motorbike crash on the a25 heading into Dorking Northbound.

Just interested to know if anybody knows the rider and if he's okay.

He appeared to be conscious and stable / talking, but is being put into traction etc. per normal procedure. bike was a total write-off.

Absolutely no idea of the circumstances so I'm not even going to guess, but the bike and rider were both up on the bank on the northbound side of the road, and the car had heavy driver's side damage and was heading south bound but pulled across on the wrong side of the road.

Had one tonight in Newbury, shut the A339 down and caused chaos.

Biker and lorry had tango'd :( When they opened the road the bike was still on the white line facing the direction it had come from smashed up (was a blue ZX6R), with bikers badly messed up lid in the middle of the outside carriageway and his leathers half on the road and half up the kerb to the central reservation - just left there where they had been cut off him :(

Just after I passed I saw the Air Ambulance taking off from a nearby field - hope the chap is ok.....

Neil, the accident you saw is mentioned on the BBC website (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/berkshire/7035651.stm)
